Vertical road signs are the basic element ensuring road safety. Solid made ensures quiet road use for drivers and managers.
All elements of vertical marking are performed at the headquarters of Erplast Sp. z o.o. In order to allow products to be sold, processes and components must be properly certified.
Advanced machine park allows for precise production of all types of characters. Films from renowned manufacturers are used, the application runs in professional conditions. Steel, aluminum and sandwich panels are processed in production processes such as: cutting, extrusion, edge bending, chemical surface treatment and powder coating. The result is a foundation that is safe, stiff, corrosion-resistant and ready to be covered.
In the Bydgoszcz production plant, all types of signs are used on Polish and European roads. The manufacturer has been present on the road construction market for over 30 years. Vertical signs consist of two main components: foundation and face.
The road signs face are prepared in screen and digital printing technology using only certified materials. Metal washers are made of one sheet of metal which is subjected to plastic working. They are characterized by simplicity and reliability. The discs are made of galvanized sheet steel or aluminum.
Type 1 - Ball film intended for use on local, commune, poviat and provincial roads. Its durability is 7 years. Available in 7 colors.
Type 2 - Commonly used on most roads. Microprism or ball foil is characterized by higher photometric properties, which ensures its better perception for vehicle drivers. The durability of the film is 10 years.
Type 3 - Microprismatic foil intended for use on expressways, highways and places of particular danger. The durability of the foil is 12 years. Antiroszeniowa - Foil produced to reduce the formation of dew on the surface of the board. A special coating reduces the negative effect of dew drops on the visibility of the mark. Applied to the client's order in the case of the investor's requirements.
The edges of the discs are stiffened over the entire circumference by double bending of the edges, including the corners. The width of the second edge bend is min. 10 mm and allows characters to be mounted using the clamping clips. Blade discs are chemically treated in bath processes, including zirconia passivation, and then powder coated in gray. The discs can be additionally secured with a protective frame. The plant also produces sleepers in accordance with the relevant specifications of European countries, for example: Germany, Belgium, Finland.

Active and backlit characters
Modern safety standards on roads include systems that enable smooth traffic control. Information about dangerous places and impediments reach the drivers in the form of signs displayed on the road. Their excellent visibility and the ability to control content increases the safety of road users.
The Erplast company manufactures markings and supporting structures by itself. Complete systems are matched to each other and meet the requirements of durability and ease of use. There are three groups of active characters due to their construction and purpose.
Comprehensive solutions for active labeling. LED diodes are used as a permanent or flash light source. They contribute greatly to the improvement of road safety in particularly dangerous places. ERPLAST active signage can be ordered in any assortment and configuration of the action (animation), according to the needs resulting from the risk of traffic safety and customer expectations.
The signs have specific reflectivity of type II or III road film. In addition, the whole surface of the disc is evenly illuminated in a constant or pulsating way. The shield is made of plastic covered with an aluminum casing. The thickness of the sign is like a typical mark and is 25 mm. They can be powered from solar panels, wind turbines or electricity networks.
The task of variable message signs is to provide traffic users with information about traffic conditions and expected difficulties. They are also temporarily included in control places, eg ITD. These systems require control via a switch or GSM system. Due to the high power consumption, it is necessary to supply power.
To separate the lanes, active character sets are installed. Mounted on flanged posts or in Erplast quick mounting sockets. This type of power supply is supplied from a station equipped with solar batteries and a battery, located on the roadside:

Steel clamps are provided for assembly of signs on support structures. They should be mounted on the upper and lower edges of signs and boards and on stiffening profiles.

Railway and shipping signs
Marking of railway routes is carried out in technologies such as road markings. We present selected patterns of railway signs. The Erplast company produces shipping and bathing marks. The largest realizations include the construction and installation of tourist and information boards and the shipping signs of the Elbląg Canal.
Marking of inland waterways is carried out in technologies like road markings. We present selected patterns of shipping marks. A detailed list of signs is specified in the Regulation of the Minister of Infrastructure of April 28, 2003 regarding shipping regulations on waterways (Journal of Laws of 15.12.2003).
Marking of water areas is carried out in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of the Interior of 6.03.2012. on the way of marking and protecting water areas and character patterns.
